Filing an Ethics Complaint

The Clark County Association of REALTORS® (CCAR) can provide you with information on the procedures for filing an ethics complaint by calling the Association directly. Or you may proceed with filing an Ethics Complaint by completing the following steps:

1 Is the real estate licensee involved a Realtor® with the Clark County Association of REALTORS®? Not all real estate licensees are Realtors®. Please contact the Membership Department at (360) 695-5980 to determine if your complaint involves a Realtor® member of our Association.

2 EEthics complaints must be filed with the Clark County Association of REALTORS® within one hundred eighty (180) days from the time a complainant knew (or reasonably should have known) that potentially unethical conduct took place.

3 The Realtors® Code of Ethics consists of seventeen (17) Articles. Your complaint must cite one or more of the Articles of the Code of Ethics, which may have been violated.

4 Your complaint should include an explanation of the circumstances that lead you to believe the Code of Ethics may have been violated. Attach copies of any and all pertinent real estate documents, such as listing contract, purchase and sale agreements, addendums, etc. Notarized statements from witnesses can be included as well.

5 The Ethics Complaint Form must accompany your written complaint. Click here to download form E-1 (PDF: 11KB). The E-1 must be filled out in its entirety and signed and dated by the complainant.

6 Send all materials, keeping a copy for yourself to:
